According to Symantic's Malware Infographic, Malware is the short word
for malicious sofware designed to disable, sabotage, and damage unsecured
computer systems. Malware includes various computer threats such as viruses,
trojan horses, worms, spywares and adwares.
Malware doesn't only targets physical computer network systems but also
blogs and personal hosted sites thru bot activities and phishing. Out of 156
different websites scan by Symantec, 1 is containing malwares and USA was named as
the number 1 source of web-based attacks along with India and China.

How Malware infects?
Most of the time malware infects into your networks when you opened malware infected sites due browser vulnerabilities and user’s unawareness. Once the malware get downloaded, it will create havoc, keep updating itself and infect your files if not stop. More than that, malwares are also designed to bypass computer securities and stole users data such as credit card details thru web cookies. Malware also duplicates itself and can pass from one device to another via USB drives.
40% of the malware are also delivered thru emails. One of the most widespread type of email attacks is called Phishing, wherein the attacker sends fraud emails( with hidden compromise links) pretending from a legitimate companies in order to induce individuals to reveal personal or attempting to acquire information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details. Most often their targets are large companies and popular individuals.
